We are able to support those working in a wide range of contexts including: counselling or adult mental health; LGBT services; children and young persons; trauma; addiction and abuse.
We offer supervision on a one-to-one, occasional or ad hoc basis to individuals and groups at our site in Swadlincote.
One to one supervision
One to one supervision is suited to those wishing to develop their practice, or who are working towards accreditation with a relevant professional body. It allows time to explore issues and challenges in depth and to develop effective ways to deal with them. Our practitioners registered and/or accredited member of BACP or NCS). They work within the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) code of ethics and supervision is covered by the ethical framework. We have an expectation that supervisees adhere to the appropriate ethics for their practise.
Equine Faciliated Supervision
One to one supervision is suited to practitioners who wish to develop their practise in an experiential way. Working with horses involves different types of communication and connection than humans might be used to. As with humans, horses demonstrate emotions with adjustments in their body language; these changes are often more obvious in horses given their large size. It allows an experiential way to explore issues and challenges of the therapeutic relationship and for the practitioenrs to consider their embodied relatationship with the client and jow this influences their practise.
Group supervision allows an exchange of experiences in a supportive environment that is facilitated by an experienced practitioner. It suits those wishing to develop their practice in a specific area. Group supervision can also be helpful for teams to aid understanding, develop skills, and gain expert input.
We offer mentoring on specific areas that are linked to professional practice in the field of coaching and equine facilitated learning.
